Lake Templene was created in 1970. Entrepreneur and developer Floyd Templin purchased farm ground around the Prairie River and Sauger, Sylvan and Camel Lakes. A dam was built and the area was flooded. The end result is beautiful Lake Templene.
Approximately 400 homes currently surround the lake. Homeowners enjoy scenic views, quiet nature, great fishing and exciting water sports.
