Baseball. Basketball. Football. Tennis. Jockey. Soccer. They're all great sports for kids. But how many young atheletes will still be playing those games in their 50's? Or 60's? Or 70's? Or beyond?
Golf is both fun and physically challenging. It builds discipline and self-confidence. It promotes a code of good sportsmanship. It’s a great way to network—both socially and professionally. But golf is also one of the very few sports that youngsters can pursue and enjoy for the rest of their lives.
HOW TO RAISE A LIFETIME GOLFER...
The earlier, the better. Enroll your child in the Island HIlls Junior Golf Camp. As part of our commitment to the community and the future of our youth, Island Hills Golf Club offers a six (6) week Junior Golf Camp for youngsters ages 6 to 15. Each weekly session starts with 60 minutes of group instruction by our Golf Pro - which includes hitting range balls. Afterwards, junior golfers will enjoy an opportunity to play on the course. Special tee markers make it fum for everyone. Youth golfers enrolled in our Junior Golf Camp will learn:
* Fundamentals fo the golf swing.
* Drills for chipping and putting.
* Effective techniques for playing sand shots.
* How to play the game honestly and with integrity.
* Proper golf etiquette
