ISLAND HILLS GOLF CLUB 2010
Dear Parent, Grand Parent, or Guardian,
Thank you for your interest in our 1st Annual Island Hills Junior Golf Camp. We promise to become one of the area’s favorite summer camps that all Juniors should attend. Over the years there have been a number of junior golfers from the ages of 6 to 15 learn the proper way to grip the club, stand over the ball and in many cases hit it a little better than mom or dad. That being said we would like to help them improve even faster. Juniors in this program will learn how to hit the ball off the tee, putting on the green, playing proper sand shots etc… in addition to learning life skills like honesty and integrity. The purpose of this fun program is to spark an interest for the game of golf and help prepare juniors for playing the game on the course for their young and active life styles.
Our staff will be on hand to help guide all of the junior golfers through a variety of physical movements that will be fun for the kids. These physical drills will help improve hand eye coordination and proper movement to hit the golf ball. This process will ultimately show us where your junior is with their skill level and know where we can help them most to improve their game. Our instructors have had great success at the City, Region, State and National levels and are looking forward to working with juniors looking to get introduced into the game, or take their game to the next level.
Each session will include 60 minutes of instruction. Following the instruction session, juniors will have the opportunity to play golf on-course. We invite you to watch the instruction session or walk with your junior on the course if you are able. During the camp we will be using a variety of practice areas, including the driving range and practice green. We look forward to the opportunity to help your junior this season. We guarantee all of the kids in the program will have fun, learn the fundamentals of golf, learn golf etiquette and maybe get a little tired out before heading home.
